How bad was it for Obama to miss Boy Scout Jamboree in Virginia?

Obama missed Boy Scout Jamboree to do taping of the View. Was this bad PR on Obama’s part?

    First the taping of The View was the day before, the show aired on the day of the Jamboree, so it was not the taping that kept him from the Jamboree. The President had declined the invitation from the start, so it was not like he abandoned the event at the last minute to do the view.

    But more importantly the Boy Scouts are a bigoted organization that has abandoned their own history of tolerance now that it has been hijacked by the LDS church. It took a term, "morally straight" and decided that meant it is ok to discriminate against homosexuals. They are no longer an organization that deserves Presidential recognition. They are homophobic bigots that have corrupted a once great American Institution.

    The Girl Scouts are still a respectable organization but the Boy Scouts are not.
