Welcome
to the 25th Asia-Pacific Regional Jamboree. The
National Scout Organization of Thailand and the World
Scout Bureau /Asia-Pacific Region are pleased to invite
you, scouts and scout leaders from Asia-Pacific and WOSM
member countries to participate in the major scout event
of the region between the world Scout Jamborees.
This
Jamboree will be the first real Regional Jamboree which
is not a co-event with the national Scout Jamboree and
it is organized to kick-off the celebration of the Golden
(50th) Anniversary of the Asia-Pacific Region in 2006
. The Jamboree will be held during 28th December 2005
to 3rd January 2006 at the historic site of the 20th
World Scout Jamboree, Had Yao, Sattahip.
Those
scouts who missed the jamboree in Sattahip in 2003 will
now be able to experience the unique characteristics of
the campsite - white long sand beach, crystal Clear blue
sea water and the coral reef islands, and the warm hospitality
of the Thai people.
Many challenging
and interesting activities will be organized and fun is
guaranteed. Of course, the boat trip to a small beautiful
island like Brownsea, the site of BP experimental camp
in 1907 are included in the programme. This is to mark
the celebration of 100 years of Scouting. Scouts can enjoy
many activities at the island like Brownsea but at different
sides of the world. The activities will give you ample
opportunity to meet fellow scouts, make new friends, and
discover different cultures that can build up peace and
understanding among brother scouts of the world. It will
be a memorable time in your life.
